Update May 1:. We have used the funds it to buy pampers for babies and more food and financial assistance to families beyond our regular JRA families. Please keep giving if you are able too.
Update 4/21 Passover is past us but coronavirus is not - Please partner with us in helping more familes with thier needs as they go through the challange's we are all facing now.
Although it says the campaign has ended, it's still going on as the need is huge.
This is a drop in the bucket of what's needed now due to coronavirus.
Your generosity will be used immediately to help a family in need. Right now we have requests for an additional $5000 in food and financial aid.
Today we are in an unprecedented time. Hundreds of families that otherwise would not need our help are now desperately asking the question - "How will we survive and how will we celebrate Passover?"
Many people are in a difficult financial situation, we are not asking you to donate now.
If you are fortunate enough to be able to cover all of your expenses this Passover, consider donating towards the JRA Passover Campaign.
We need your help. The $30,000 we will raise will go to:
- Providing families in need in the Metrowest area with Kosher for Passover (meat, chicken, Matzah, wine and more) essentials.
- Direct cash payments to families that are struggling to deal with Coronavirus with the added strain of Passover expenses.
Please help generously as there is a huge need now. The faster the donations come in, the faster we can get it out to people in need.
At this time, if you need help, please do not hesitate to reach out. Many people are struggling and we want to help. Please let us know so we can help. You can reach out directly to JRA directly by emailing Moishe@jewishrelief.org or calling 973.307.0195. You can also reach out to your Rabbi or community leader and have them reach out to JRA on your behalf.
